Ophthalmic surgery, or eye surgery, concerns the surgery of the eye, eyelids, eye-sockets, and lacrimal ducts.

The ophthalmologist, or ophthalmic surgeon, may use surgery for treating the following pathologies:

Ophthalmic surgery also includes refractive surgery, which aims to correct refractive disorders, such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia. Refractive surgery procedures are performed by the Swiss Visio medical team.
