Clinique de Montchoisi was founded by an eminent gynecologist, Professor R. L. Rochat.
1964
To meet a growing demand and to provide wide-ranging services, the clinic was extended in 1964.
2003
Swiss Medical Network took over Clinique de Montchoisi to expand its activities in the Lake Geneva basin.
2006
Clinique de Montchoisi and Swiss Advanced Vision, a Neuchâtel start-up, presented a world-first cataract surgery procedure. After clinical tests performed by Dr. André Mermoud on 120 patients and thanks to a new generation of polyfocal implants developed by the start-up, patients recover quality nearsighted, farsighted and intermediate vision. The polyfocal lens concept was patented and awarded the Neode Prize for Innovation in 2009.
2010
Clinique de Montchoisi underwent major renovation work with the creation of a state-of-the-art radiology institute. Further improvements included a pergola that later became the name of its restaurant as well as a 45-space client carpark facility.
2018
The clinic premises and rooms underwent total refurbishment. A care structure exclusively dedicated to ophthalmology was created on the 1st floor of the clinic.
2019
Clinique de Montchoisi opened the Montchoisi Medical Center. Located just a few meters from the clinic, this facility is open to the general public.
2020
Clinique de Montchoisi opened a brand-new operating theater equipped with three operating stations, dedicated to ophthalmic surgery.
